Ingredients:
- 250 grams pasta (such as penne or spaghetti)
- 250 grams beef or chicken, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for cooking
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large frying pan or skillet, heat some vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced beef or chicken to the pan and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, then add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
- Add the diced tomatoes and bell pepper to the pan and cook until they start to soften.
- Stir in the tomato paste, ground cumin, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Cook for a minute to release the flavors.
- Add the cooked meat back to the pan and mix well with the tomato and spice mixture.
- Finally, add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce and heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired.
- Serve the Suugo Suqaar hot as a main dish, accompanied by a salad or vegetables if desired.
